My first thought when I learned I was awarded this scholarship

This is a lifelong bonding with the Hinrich Foundation and an invaluable opportunity to fulfil my wish of further study under a full scholarship in one of the prestigious schools in Asia, PolyU.

Why I’m interested in trade

My understanding is that everything we buy or use in our daily lives is all the result of trade and it has a tremendous impact on today’s business context. That’s why I have dedicated my career to trade and trade is my passion.

What this scholarship opportunity means to me

I have to admit that after working for an ample period of time, I’m getting innumerable opportunities to learn and understand different facets of life, including business. It feels great being a student again. On top of that, being a reputed Hinrich Foundation scholar has its own charisma.

This scholarship opportunity means a golden ticket for me to explore life from multiple perspectives, upgrade my knowledge and skills, and enjoy carefree single life. This is a wonderful opportunity for me to fulfil all those wishes and a second chance to learn and explore as I did during my earlier school days.

The international experiences I’m most looking forward to

I am looking forward to developing strong personal and professional connections with like-minded friends from all over the world and exploring collaboration opportunities in the future.

What I’ll bring to my dorm to remind me of home and why

I will bring a mini statue of lord Ganesh along with me to my dorm. My religious sentiment is attached with it including positive vibes.

My favorite hobbies and other interests

Exploring the world whenever and wherever possible, learning new traditions and culture, and trying to understand human psychology.

My proudest achievement so far in life

The interesting professional journey I endured from ground level till date. On top of that, being an average student my entire life, getting selected for a prestigious Hinrich Foundation Global Trader Leader Scholarship is my proudest achievement so far.

The largest obstacle I’ve overcome so far in life

Being in a dilemma and not being sure about my future career path, and then deciding to pursue further study.

My future goals and aspirations

Following Mr. Merle Hinrich’s visionary footstep, being a dynamic charismatic leader and having strong compassion for trade.

How I plan to give back and help others

Nepal is an under-developed country but it possesses tremendous scope for growth. I would like to impart whatever I managed to learn/understand to my countrymen and create a meaningful difference in society.

Personal statement

As someone who has been involved in trade, I know the importance of supply chain and logistics management in today’s vast changing business dynamics. This realization led me to think about pursuing this course, upgrading my knowledge and skills, and expanding my career horizon.

It was not an easy task for me to decide to return to school, but I’m super glad that I did it. Being a prestigious scholar and, at the same time, representing the Foundation in various activities has its own appeal.
