My first thought when I learned I was awarded this scholarship

When I received email from Alex (Program Director of Hinrich Foundation) that I’ve got the scholarship, I directly came to my mom and delivered that great news with screaming loud and cried.

Why I am interested in trade

My interest in trade started when I was 13 years old, I helped my mother to sell her product (baby clothes) in the local market of my hometown. I knew that trade was not only selling and buying but also value as human being in the society. How can we help each other with trade?

What this scholarship opportunity mean to me

Since I was still little girl, one of my dreams was to study abroad. Every night before I went to sleep, I loved to see the world map that I can know about many countries in this Earth. I always said that I would study far away from my lovely country, Indonesia. Getting the honorable scholarship from Hinrich Foundation is one of the great opportunities, I can boost my skills and learn new knowledge for the bright future.

The international experiences I am most looking forward to

I am most looking forward to: Learning cultural diversity from many students in university and also from the lecturers from different countries. I will also make a journey to many places in Hong Kong.

What I will bring to my dorm to remind me of home

I bring my Holy Bible that will make me always remember Jesus Christ and remind me that I am never alone. I also bring the picture of my family, I feel so close with them everywhere.

My favorite hobbies and other interests

I am a football lover, I can say “I love football more than ice cream”. When I watch a football match, I can reduce all the bad feeling particularly when my favorite football club is the winner. Doing sport is another hobby that I love. I love to run every morning or evening, it is great when I am geting my sweat on.

My proudest achievement so far in life

Getting selected for the Hinrich Foundation Global Trade Leaders Scholarship and studying for a master’s degree.

The largest obstacle I’ve overcome so far in life

My father passed away when I was 11 years old. At that time, I was worried that my future would be dark or hopeless. My mom always teaches me to have “on fire spirit and life by faith not by sight”. I learned that nothing is impossible as long as we believe.

My future goals and aspirations

I wish to have law firm related to international trade. I will go around the world for travelling and work.

How I plan to give back and help others

I would like to contribute my knowledge in international trade to young employers in Indonesia particularly in my hometown to help them export their products.

Personal Statement

“Know that wisdom is such to your soul; if you find it, there will be a future, and your hope will not be cut off.”
