MENUMENU

encouraging informed debate
through international trade research

This brochure provides basic information about the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, which is considered the most comprehensive set of government-backed recommendations on responsible business conduct in existence today.

The guidelines express the shared views and values of countries, including major emerging economies, that are the sources and the recipients of a large majority of the world’s investment flows and are also home to a majority of MNEs. The guidelines cover all major areas of business ethics. Their recommendations are set out in 11 chapters and cover topics such as information disclosure, human rights, employment and labour, environment, anti-corruption and consumer interests.
