Who should attend?

The Export Manager Advanced Training Program is designed for:

  • Export managers
  • Export marketing managers
  • Professionals involved with business development for export and import

The short course is intended for participants with prior experience in export and import businesses who are looking to take their capabilities to the next level. The last cohort brought together managers, specialists, and entrepreneurs across different industries such as finished consumer goods, industrial suppliers, equipment, apparel, footwear and logistics providers. Most of the participants are involved in business development, marketing, and export planning and strategy.

English proficiency is required.


When and Where?

Weekend classes mean you can gain valuable new skills and keep up with your work.

Classes are held on Friday night, Saturday & Sunday, followed by individual coaching at VGU City Campus, 307A Nguyen Trong Tuyen, Phu Nhuan District, HCMC.

The Hinrich Foundation offers scholarships for applicants who are passionate about trade and are looking to develop their knowledge and skills to the next level. Qualified applicants of the Export Manager Advanced Training Program can benefit from a 70% scholarship from the Hinrich Foundation.

Online modules for Learning

These modules are developed and certified by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Academy, an education arm of the Paris-based, hundred-year-old International Chamber of Commerce. ICCA currently offers a wide range of online certificates and training on several business topics, aiming to expanding access to business education to every people, enhancing online teaching and learning; and advancing learning through applicable business research.

Introduction to Trade FinanceThis course provides an introduction to Trade Finance and is set up to give an overview of what it takes to settle cross border commercial contracts, what needs and risks occur and what instruments are available to buyers and sellers of goods and services.
Introduction to Documentary CreditsThis course provides a good foundational understanding of the importance of the documentary letter of credit in enabling trade, the versatility of this proven instrument in addressing a range of market conditions and a variety of client needs.
Overview of Cross Border Trade This course provides a contextual overview of international trade, including a treatment of the risks related to the conduct of business across borders, as well as an introduction to some of the institutions that support and enable international commerce.
Introduction to ComplianceThis course provides a general, high-level overview of the compliance obligations of financial institutions engaged in trade finance.
