My first thought when I learned I was awarded this scholarship

My first thought when I learned I was awarded this scholarship:I was thrilled and wanted to cry! Because I was quite nervous in the interview and I was not very satisfied with my performance.  But it is totally worth working hard to get prepared for my application.

Why I’m interested in trade

Trade is very appealing and learning always makes me happy. I am eager  to explore more in the trade field.

What this scholarship opportunity means to me

It is totally a once-in-a-life-time experience for me and more importantly, a life-turning-point for me. I am very appreciated to be given this precious opportunity.

The international experiences I’m most looking forward to

Making more friends from all over the world, learning more about culture differences and helping promote my international vision and my career in trade in the future.

What I’ll bring to my dorm to remind me of home

My cute blanket. Because it has accompanied me for quite a long time and every time I sleep with it I feel warm and feel like at home.

My favorite hobbies and other interests I am passionate about are

My favorite hobby is basketball. Besides, I like singing, going shopping and learning about trade.

My proudest achievement so far in life

I was successfully given the chance to study at  Hong Kong Baptist University and start a brand new journey in trade with Global Sources.

The largest obstacle I’ve overcome so far in life is

My leg was broken when I was in senior three busy preparing for my university entrance exam. The inconvenience from the broken leg and stress from study made me very depressed.

My future goals and aspirations

To be outstanding in business and trade. And luckily, my friends like Laura, Sam, Ivy, Destinee and others from Global Sources are always be there to help, support and inspire me.

How I plan to give back and help others

I am very excited to join this big family and very grateful to be given such a chance to learn more about business and trade.

Personal statement

I am very excited to join this big family and very grateful to be given such a chance to learn more about business and trade.
