With the slogan “Promoting Sustainable Global Trade,” the Hinrich Foundation has been offering full scholarships to students from Myanmar, Cambodia, Bangladesh, India, Vietnam, Laos, U.S. and mainland China, so they can study in Hong Kong, mainland China, Thailand, the Philippines and even the U.S.

Currently, there are seven Hinrich Foundation scholars pursuing studies at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU). Five of them are Bangladeshi nationals studying Manufacturing Systems Engineering, while the rest are Chinese citizens taking business courses.

Over nearly eight decades, HKPU has been committed to nurturing future leaders by working closely with the community to drive the city’s sustained social and economic success. To further serve this purpose, it established the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Foundation or PolyU Foundation in July 2014 to connect supporters and friends who contribute to the advancement of education and research.

By tying up with the Hinrich Foundation, the foundation aims to enhance the quality of teaching and learning through the improvement of facilities and related resources of the university, advance research and technology development, and improve the all-round development of the students.
