Report highlights diversity of materials used, price competitiveness
Vietnam’s gift packaging selection consists mostly of models made of paper or plastic, but designs in fabric and wood are also available. Amid growing environmental awareness in the global market, makers of gift bags and boxes are releasing more models made of biodegradable materials.
Gift packaging makers import most of their paper and plastic requirements, but Vietnam’s products remain price competitive because of the low cost of labor in the country. Viet Thinh Packaging, for example, imports materials from Japan, Thailand, China and Indonesia.
