All-day, versatile shoes remain on trend

Footwear suppliers in Vietnam are adding to their selections of stylish, comfortable shoes that can be worn on various occasions or activities.

For men, makers are offering lace-up shoes that can be paired with casual or business attire. Recent releases come in traditional black or brown with genuine or synthetic leather uppers and rubber soles.

For women, low- and mid-heeled pumps suitable for daytime or evening wear are in style. Neutral-colored genuine or synthetic leather uppers are paired with cushioned insoles and slip-resistant outsoles.

Sneakers in breathable materials and featuring anti-slip and anti-skid properties remain a best-seller, with current fashion trends pairing these with pants, skirts and dresses.

“Vietnam shoe manufacturers are focusing on comfortable designs that can suit different styles and occasions as this is the trend in the international market. In addition, Vietnam footwear is competitive because of its price and favorable tariff rates,” said Ly Nguyen, export consultant of the Hinrich Foundation.
