My first thought when I learned I was awarded this scholarship
At that moment, I thought my dream and goal were closer within reach. I consider education very important because I believe it is vital to my success. This scholarship, in particular, will open new doors for me to learn and continue pursuing my plan and dream to help my family. I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity.
Why I’m interested in trade
I am fascinated by how the market works and how it is influenced by world events. It offers a chance to earn huge profits, manage risks and take a responsible approach to ensure that everything done will be a key to success.
What this scholarship opportunity means to me
I am honored to receive this scholarship, which I consider a blessing. It has placed me on the right career path and will help boost my self-confidence. After I have done my part, I will not only have been responsible and completed a very important task, but I will have also gotten closer to achieving my childhood dream.
The international experiences I’m most looking forward to
I’m looking forward to learning more in these coming two years! This experience will bring me knowledge and opportunities and also help me see a bigger picture and set future goals. It will allow me to learn about other cultures and how people adapt when they are outside their countries and need to learn a new language.
What I’ll bring to my dorm to remind me of home and why
I will bring all my books, since I love reading. They will help me not feel homesick. Some of the books I enjoy reading are about Myanmar and poetry. I also love cooking my own food, so I think it will be best if I bring my own cooking tools to help me prepare my food.
My favorite hobbies and other interests
I am passionate about reading books and articles, especially those about cultures of other countries. They teach me about the similarities and differences among countries.
My proudest achievement so far in life
My proudest achievement so far in life is when I was selected to participate in the scholarship program for production management. I felt so proud receiving this because I know it will lead me to the right career path.
The largest obstacle I’ve overcome so far in life
The largest obstacle I’ve overcome so far in life is when my project manager gave me an important task with a very tight deadline. The client needed it urgently, and it would have cost me my job and reputation as an engineer of the company. I, however, accomplished this task by staying calm and efficiently using all the time I was given.
My future goals and aspirations
My future goals and aspirations are to continue learning new techniques that will make me a better production manager. I will really strive to be the best that I can be and reach my full potential. By attending seminars and workshops, I think I can be great leader and manager who can persuade her team to strive and therefore make the company better.
How I plan to give back and help others
I plan to give back and help others by being a good example to children. I will show them that if you have a dream, you need to work on it and believe that God is there to always guide you and help you attain your dream through different ways.
I have always loved traveling and reading about other cultures since I was a little girl. Today, I have the chance to do these things and achieve my goals through the Hinrich Global Trade Leader scholarship. I am particularly keen to study production management in a stimulating environment that provides working and recreation facilities for students.
Story about Ei Ei Cho
I graduated as a civil engineer in West Yangon Technological University. I took this course, as it was my dream since childhood to be one of the respectable engineers in the country. My uncle and aunt are also engineers, and they were the ones who inspired me.
Over the past few years, I gained knowledge and experience to compete with the best engineers in region or in my country. I know there are still many obstacles to reach my dream, but I believe this scholarship will help me go through those challenges. I know once I finish the course, I will have enough knowledge to be a respectable scholar and bring a level of competitiveness to the country where I’ll be working.
