Story about Aining Zhou
My name is ZHOU Aining, Eileen. I come from Guangzhou, China and I used to study in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. Now I study in Hong Kong Baptist University as a Hinrich Scholar.
I became interested in global trade at my early age. Global trade is an amazing and interesting thing for me as a little girl. I still remember I was so deeply attracted and inspired when I first read the biography of Charles Song. It was by doing international trade that he built up the early success of the Song Family. And I can’t forget the fascinating feeling when I was first doing shopping in the City Super, which was filled with countless imported good, letting me have a vivid understanding of the outside world. And I also remember how proud I felt when I knew that my pen pals in different parts of the world were using the products exported from China, especially when they commended them. It is all these amazing and interesting experiences that lightened my interest on global trade.
As I experience more, I understand the significance of global trade more. Both my own interest on trades and the importance of trade itself encourage me to study more about trade business. I will make good use of time and equip myself with more professional knowledge in the university. And I hope that I will be an expert in trade and I can make contributions to sustainable global trade in the future.
