Scholar background
Phuong is the Head of IT and Business Process Organization at DHL Global Forwarding Vietnam, a division of freight-forwarding giant, the DHL Group. Previously, she was the Business Process Organization Manger, overseeing training, reporting and auditing programs to ensure export control, sanctions and trade law compliance.
She has held multiple managerial roles during her 10 years at DHL, primarily focusing on managing business implementation projects and improving customer satisfaction. In 2019, she earned her Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification. Prior to joining DHL, Phuong was a Merchandise Officer at Suheung Vietnam.
She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City in 2011. As a Hinrich Global Trade Leader Scholar, Phuong received her Master of Global Trade from RMIT University in 2022.
Personal statement
Globalization and technology have rapidly changed our worldwide economy and rules of doing business. It requires every organization and individual to accelerate the process of adapting to the trends. Understanding global markets and trade law is essential, but creating the flexibility and resilience is even more important to work in the fast-growing global business nowadays.
Aspiring to work and act as a global citizen has inspired me in facilitating the fundamental knowledge about global trade, being connected to the expert communities, committing to share and support business growth.
