The 2018 AT Kearney Foreign Direct Investment Confidence Index is an annual survey of global business executives that ranks markets that are likely to attract the most investment in the next three years. The report provides forward-looking analysis of the markets investors intend to target for FDI in the coming year.
The US tops the index for the sixth time in a row largely because of improving economic performance and lower corporate tax rate. In addition, the government’s protectionist stance may also be motivating companies to invest in the US to maintain market access. Just four emerging markets appear in the top 25 countries for FDI intentions: China, India, Mexico and Brazil.
