Asian Development Outlook 2018 Supplement: The Outlook Remains Stable
The Asia Development Outlook 2018 is the main economic forecasting product of Asia Development Bank, which is generally published in every April with a supplement being released in July and December. The supplement is a way to keep track of the projections made in the main report.
According to the most recent version of the supplement, despite the rise in protectionist trade measures from the US and countermeasures from China, developing Asia is poised to remain stable and meet the growth expectations set out in April in Asian Development Outlook 2018. The regions gross domestic product (GDP) is forecast to expand 6.0% in 2018 and 5.9% in 2019, with sub-regional forecast upgraded for Central Asia. The projections for Central Asia has been upgraded to 4.2% in 2018 and 4.3% in 2019.
