Foreign direct investments and trade trends in Asia and the Pacific
This infographic from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) illustrates how Asia and the Pacific continues to be the world’s top destination for foreign direct investment (FDI). In 2015 FDI in Asia and the Pacific reached $527 billion, or nearly 30 percent of the world’s total. However, at the same time, trade growth in the region decelerated to 2.3 percent, below the 2.7 percent growth in global trade.
