The Hinrich Foundation is inviting talented young professionals from developing economies in Asia who want to contribute to the development of sustainable global trade to apply for the 2019 Hinrich Foundation Global Trade Leader Scholarship in partnership with Hong Kong Baptist University.

The Scholarship will cover full tuition fee to obtain a Master of Arts in International Journalism Studies (MAIJS) for Academic Year 2019-2020 at the Hong Kong Baptist University, one of the leading journalism programs in Asia.

Program & Location

Master of Arts in International Journalism Studies at Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong SAR

Successful candidates will begin their studies on AY2019-2020 in September.

Amount of Award

Two (2) available scholarships amounting to HK$145,000 each to cover the full tuition fee, co-sponsored by Hinrich Foundation and HKBU, School of Communication. Half of the scholarship (HK$72,500 each) will be awarded in August 2019 and the other half in December 2019.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a citizen of Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines and Vietnam
  • Must be admitted or in the interview process for the MAIJS program (Click here for the detailed application and admission requirements of the program)

Preference will be given to candidates who show motivation to work in Asia post-MAIJS and display a strong interest in working in international trade-related sectors.

Scholarship graduates will be encouraged to engage with the Hinrich Foundation Alumni Association (HFAA) for mentorship, networking and possible career opportunities.
