Key highlights

A truly international program

International students who come from 15 countries make up half of each class, bringing a diversity of perspectives, backgrounds and management know-how into the classroom. This robust environment fosters cultural and idea exchange, enabling discussion to be more in-depth and thought-provoking. Students also learn how to navigate and collaborate in a multicultural environment, which is an essential skillset for them to thrive in multinational corporations or conduct cross-border business with smaller and start-up companies.

Additionally, 50% of the HEC Montreal faculty members are international academics that can impart firsthand knowledge of various cultural norms, communication styles and business etiquette to prepare students for success in an increasingly diverse and global world.

Enhanced hands-on learning

The Campus Abroad program is a two-week immersion that provides access to the cultural, political, and socio-economic reality of an overseas environment. A typical trip includes lectures, which depend on the theme of the course and the location of choice, company visits and meetings with influential figures in the field. Students are also encouraged to set up meetings outside of the curriculum, conduct field surveys and immerse themselves in the local culture to take full advantage of this international experience.
