Tom Westland
Postdoctoral Researcher, Wageningen University
Tom is a postdoctoral researcher at Wageningen University and Research, and a non-resident fellow at the East Asian Bureau of Economic Research.
He is an economic historian of Africa and Asia, with a particular interest in structural change, living standards and trade. Tom completed undergraduate degrees in history and economics at the Australian National University, and a masters’ degree at the Institut de hautes études internationales et du développement in Geneva. He also completed a PhD at the University of Cambridge as a student at Sidney Sussex College.
